Residence Permit
Residence permit is a permit given to foreigners who wish to stay in Türkiye. Foreigners who will stay in the country for more than ninety days or for the period granted by the visa or visa exemption are required to apply for the most appropriate type of residence permit for them through the online system.
Foreigners who have completed their application must attend at the provincial/district directorate of migration administration in the province where they want to live, on the appointment day determined by the system.
Foreigners who does not attend at the provincial/district directorate of migration administration on the appointment day without a valid excuse are deemed not to have made any application.
In determining the valid excuse, some information and documents may be requested by the administration. As a rule, residence permit extension applications are made in the same way.
Residence Permit Application
It is obligatory for foreigners who will stay in Türkiye for more than ninety days or the period granted by the visa or visa exemption to obtain a residence permit. These applications can be made by the foreigner in person or through the foreigner's legal representative or lawyer. However, in this regard, the administration may also request the foreigner to be attended during the application.

12. For how long is a short-term residence permit issued?
• As a rule, short-term residence permits are issued for a maximum of two years. One-year applications are usually received for the first year.

15. Who is granted a Residence Permit via Real Estate?
• If foreigners who own immovables request a residence permit, the immovable must be a residence and used for this purpose.
In addition, if family members have shared and cooperative ownership rights on the house, family members can also apply for a residence permit within this scope. Family members refer to the applicant's spouse, minor child and dependent adult child.
16. How can I show the address where I am staying in Türkiye?
• Foreigner must provide the address and contact information he/she will be residing in Türkiye accurately and completely. Address, telephone number and e-mail information must be up-to-date so that Foreigner can be contacted and their residence permit document delivered to address. If staying with a rental agreement, must attach a notarized copy of agreement in the form of arrangement to application documents.
If staying in places such as hotels or hotels, must attach the documents proving stay in these places to your application.
If staying in a student dormitory, must also attach the e-signed/signed and stamped/stamped document to application.
Foreigners who will come for yacht tourism purposes should specify the marina address where their yachts are connected with their documents.
